Articles about some other bikes out there

I was looking threw some other articles out there about dirt bikes. On the same website Thumpertalk.com. I have found that is a great website to look at because yes, its a blog but what good about it is, its all people that have dirt bikes and talk about what works and doesn't work on certain bikes. Most of these people aren't master mechanic's or anything like that but they ride the bike and most of the people that have dirt bikes are good with working with tools and have a basic understand about whats going on. I have looked at those website many times, it have given me a lot of input about what parts i can use on my bike and would make an improvement and what parts are worthless and are there just for looks. There was a whole blog about aftermarket exhausts, i took a good look at them because i wanted to know what worked well with my bike. I also learned a lot about how to do oil changes and recharge the air filter. There was one article that really interested me a lot was about how to make the bike go faster with just clipping some wires and taking certain things out. That was an informative article, i was interested in how to do that because everything is really expensive for the bikes. In all of the things that i ahve done for my bike, that website helped me out alot and give me a better understanding in what i was doing and what i wanted to buy for it.

Just fixing odds and ends on the bike

I have been doing alot of things to my bike recently, to make it faster and better afficante. I put on some handle gaurds so that when i am going throw the forest i won't hit anything and will come down onto my hands. Def something that i should have been on before i put my exhaust on to make it louder but what can i do, i like to make things faster and louder before i make them safer. I had to change my oil and recharge the air filter over the weekend. I just had to unscrew a few things and the oil just came out and then i took out the oil filter which was another two screws. It wasn't to bad. Then after that i just filled the oil back up to were it was sopposted to be before i started. Tightend everything back up and was back in business. The air filter on the other hand i had do alot of thing before i was able to re spray it. Which took a while. It seems like everything that you gotta do with the bike just take awhile. but you gotta have patients or else things might jsut go really wrong really fast. I just make sure that when i do these things that i take my time and i am really really careful so that things dont go wrong when i am riding the bike. At the same time its a great way to pass sometime and relax while doing it.

Street Legalize Dirt Bikes

In this article from Thumper talker they are talking about how dirt bikes in America aren't street legal when in different parts of the world they are street legal.. In other countries the dirt bike i have a WR 450F, is street legal. My dirt bike comes with light but not blinkers. A gentleman from the add was saying that in New Zealand that my bike comes with headlights, break lights, turn signals and mirrors. Personally i think that's really sick because i would love to be able to ride my dirt bike on the street and on the dirt. Its a lot of fun to ripe around with the dirt bike on the street because its light and easy to ride. Its funny how people in this blog talk because this blog is seen around the world and people from different countries were these bikes are legal for the street, they are using them. The Americans say how the politics won't let us ride these bikes on the street. In a way its true because everyone thinks that they pollute, i think that these type of bike don't pollute that much, because in other countries such as Italy and Germany people are using this bikes on the street, why do people in America don't have the right to do so. Another person was saying, one from america saying how it the wr wasn't going to be avalible for street legal use. He also stated that it was going to be called a supermoto. I think that's kind of funny people the only differnt between a super moto to a dirt bike is the tires. They say that the emissions on the two bikes are alot differnt but i think that they are all the same, the manufactor isn't going to change everything for this one bike to be sold in america. That is why alot of these manufactorers aren't doing it because america is very demanding for this kind of stuff in what they want and dont want. Another guy posted a comment how he has a wr that is a bit older and said that he street legalixed his in michgan with no problem at all. But places like california are some of the toughest places to get these type of things done in because of all the polution there is. In the end they only mad the WR 250 X street legal. So all the other model won't be street legal. In a way i think that it's stupid because in other parts of the world and the United States they will street legalize these bike but in California they will not do that.

New parts and service

This weekend i think i will be going dirt biking with a few friends of mine... Since the last time that i went, i have done some new modifications to my dirt bike that i am really happy about.... I first and for most i changed the exhaust of my bike, i put on a Leo Vince X3, it an exhaust that is mad in Italy and sound really good and loud. then i put on some new handle bars guards that will help save my hand, knuckles and fingers from getting that hard if i hit a tree or something like that.... Those two things make the bike look nicer and a lot louder then the stock exhaust was. Every time before you go ride you gotta change the oil and recharge the air filter. These dirt bikes are ridden really hard and they need there oil changed because of that fact and if you don't change the oil in the short turn you loose a lot of power and in the long term your engine might brake down on you and that cost a lot of money, so the best way to keep on top of this task is to check changing that oil because it only costs you like 20 dollars to change the oil when if you break the engine you are talking thousands of dollars. The first time i changed the oil, i really had no idea what i was doing but after reading books i learned how to do it. I learned that you should allways becareful when you tighen the bolts back on after you do the oil change because it they arnt tightend right, you may loose oil pressure and your bike may not run very well due to that. The next thing i did was i had to recharge the filter. This means that i need to clean it and put more spare on it so that dust dosn;t go into the motor. If dust goes into your motor, that can mean some very bad things. Just like not changing your oil this can cause some problems for your bike. I had to take certain things apart on the bike to get to the filter but it wasnt to tough to do so. After cleaning the filter and then spraying some stuff to protect it for the next ride i was back in business. My dirt bike was ready to go for another ride.

Dirt Biking for the first time on a new bike....

A few weeks ago i bought a brand new dirt bike... I really excited because my last dirt bike was a used piece of shit that seemed like i put more money into the bike to keep it running then money that i needed to make it louder and look nicer... I guess that's what happens when you buy something used, that is why this time i decided to spend the extra money and buy a new bike. I think that yes, i spent a bit more money then i really wanted to but in the long run its the way to go because i was the only one that rode the bike and i know what i have and haven't done to it. I went out a few weeks ago to ride it for the first time, i have rode it up and down the street but i haven't rode the bike on dirt, were the bike preformed at its finest. A couple of friends of mine went down to San Jose, to go riding... The day we went to do some riding, there was a race going on at the park that we were sop post to ride in, so we thought that maybe we would have had to go to a different park because of the fact that there was so many people. the majority of the people that were there were there for the race that was going on that day. After a few minutes we finally found a parking place. We unloaded all of your bikes and got geared up got ready to get out on the trail. When we saw all those people, we were thinking that the trails would have been packed. Actually there wasn't that many people out there. It was nice because there weren't many people out there on the trail because when there are a lot of people out there its really hard to go out and have fun because when there are people just running around you cant have fun because you have to watch out for yourself and everyone around you. We started riding around and it was a really hot day probably a good 90 plus degrees out there, when you are wearing all your riding gear there isn't many parts of your body that are open to the elements to get any fresh air out of it. you have to rely on your hydra ration pack to help you throw it. During the final few mins of the trails on my friends bikes didn't start working propertly so we decided to head back to the truck. we then decided that it was best to pack it up and call it a day. we loaded everything into the truck made sure everything was tied down and secured for the ride back home. The ride home wasn't to tough because we just got onto the freeway and it brought us all the way home excatly were we needed to go.

Welcome to my new blog....

I decided that for my project for my English class on blog, that i would do a blog about something that i liked not just something to write about. If i have something that i want to write about that it would be a lot easier to write about then something that i wants to interesting in. So i decided to do it on my dirt bikes and thing that go along with it such as parts accessories and riding. I think that for the people that are into the sport, its a lot of fun. I think that this well be a good one to talk about because i know that there arent many other people that would do something like this.
